ProterraBio is focused on delivering specific, key projects that cross industries and demonstrate the diversity and potential of the BioConverter system most broadly. These projects will be highly profitable and can fuel our growth. Over time, we will construct more high-impact projects but also sell packaged systems and license our designs on the largest biorefinery scale possible.

BioConversion is a more advanced version of Anaerobic Digestion which is the fermentation of naturally occurring bacterial organisms with organic waste (such as food, grass, leaves and tree clippings) that creates methane biogas that is used as a source of energy and high-value fertilizer and feed. 

There is no waste! That is one of the attraction of the process. The waste that goes into the system that is not turned into biogas is converted into a superior grade, organic plant food and fertilizer. Any surplus biogas can also be purified to 99% methane and compressed for use as vehicle fuel or reformed to produce butanol, ethanol or methanol as other vehicle fuel options.
